My cat Victoria's 2 favourite beds were my portable typewriter lid into which she just about squeezed, and an old car tyre my father had for reasons best known to him on his shed roof. I think in certain respects cats are like children: buy them an expensive toy and they will spend all day playing with the box it came in!
